Divide perennial herbs – oregano, garlic chives, lemon grass

Maintenance 

  • Start prepping beds for tomatoes and capsicums
  • Stake and string broad beans
  • Chop and drop, dig in green crops
  • Protect tender plants from frost
  • Check lemons for aphids and ants – ants will indicate the presence of scale as they love to feed on the honeydew scale excrete
  • Check for wooly aphids on apple trees
  • Sprinkle Epsom Salts (magnesium Sulfate) around the drip line of citrus trees and water in.
  • Prune passionfruit vines and feijoas to encourage new growth.
